Do you have any other fun collections? (Other than books)

Sadly, I do not. I'm not really a knick-knacky person. What about you guys?

Characters, sometimes are favourites, die during books. If you'd get to choose, who would you bring back?

Ok... my answer is all kinds of spoilery for those of you who haven't finished The Hunger Games trilogy yet...

Are you ready? If you haven't read, ADVERT YOUR EYES NOW!

ALL I NEED FOR A HAPPY AND FULFILLING LIFE IS FOR FINNICK ODAIR TO NOT BE DEAD AND FOR FINNICK ODAIR TO BE A FATHER. IT'S BEEN FOUR YEARS AND I'M STILL NOT OVER IT AND I CAN'T SEE THAT CHANGING ANYTIME SOON.

So whose death are you not over?
- Kristen
Literally, same as Kristen. I was trying to think if deaths that were important to me in novels. I came up with one from The Taker but he was kinda self-absorbed. There was one in The Infernal Devices series but I mean, he was old and lived a good life. I can't really come up with a death that affected me that much. The fact that I can't remember deaths is bad, right? I would think it would be easy.

Share the song you can't stop listening to.

So, I've been on a big old country kick lately and I have been binnnnnnnnge listening to Dirt by Florida Georgia Line.

Also, I'm in love with Sam Smith's album (especially I'm Not The Only One). So, that's what has been on my playlist, what about you??

What are your favourite picture books?

I'm actually not really a fan of picture books. I've never really been a fan. I don't know why. I just remember always reading novels (aka Judy Blume amazingness) or having novels read to me.

But, this is one picture book that I absolutely loooooooved when I was younger. I remember reading it constantly. Thinking back on it now, it might have had something to do with the glitter. And shiny pages.

What kid doesn't like glitter?

- Kristen

I can remember taking this book out of the library every other week as a child. It was like that scene in Beauty and the Beast where Belle takes a book out so much that the librarian just gives her the book.

Honestly, I can't really remember the plot at all. All I remembered was the princess and the balloons. Do you have any idea how much of a pain it is to search those things in Google? I'm amazed I could find this novel at all.

Seeing it now, I kind of wanna find it in Chapters and reread it.

So, yeah, there it is. Check it out. Let's bring it back.

Post a photo of your favourite coffee mug (or mugs if you have more than one favourite)

Guys, my cup is literally the best cup in the world! I'd take a picture of me with it, but 1) I'm at Kelsey's house and thus the glorious mug is not with me and 2) I just came back from the gym and saying I'm gross would be a gross understatement. Ha... hahahahaha.. ha. Anyway, I searched the big bad internet and found a picture of it, and huzzah here it is:

Shakespearean insults for the win! I got it as a gift for Christmas, and it was by far the best gift I got. I won't even lie to you.

Soooooooo...I don't really have a favourite mug...I have like one mug and, you know what, I'm much too lazy to get off my butt and walk to the kitchen and take a picture and move it to my computer and put it into this post sooooo...here is my favourite mug...

So, that's why we usually do blog stuff in Tim's.
It's also why I reference it in 2/4 novels I've written.
Canadian for the win!

What are your favorite books of 2014 so far?

Well, well, well, I'm glad you asked. (Only because, for once, I actually have an answer! yippeeeeee)
I think that my favourite book this year has definitely been *drum roll puhlease*
Oui, oui! Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover! If you haven't read it, go go go.
Kelsey wanted to use this as her answer too, but I beat the sucker to the punch. I'm sure she'd recommend it too!

My close second fayborit is probably:
Because who doesn't love Jennifer Armentrout books?!
If you haven't read anything by her, go do. I promise that after you're done, you'll want to smother me in hugs (or just smother me because of feels) for recommending her.

Also, Happy Friday!
Kristen

I agree with both of Kristen's choices, go figure.
ALSO, I HAVE EASY ANSWERS TOO!!

Also, this!! ☺

READ THEM! GO!

Gain New Blog FollowersQ: School is out! What is your favorite Summer Reading book?

Summer reading means any kind of reading for me! After all that studying (and by all that, I mean, I kind of sort of studied) I will read all the books that magically accumulated in my TBR pile while I was doing the supposed studying. My list right now, however, consists of titles like The Book Thief (which I love and only recently realized have never reviewed), Obsidian, Hopeless, The Fault in Our Stars (how far behind am I - seriously?!). What about you guys? Any of you have your automatic go to summer books?

- Kristen

I don't have a certain book that I read every summer. I try to avoid buying new books and read the ones that I have sitting around waiting for me. I have a lot of classics or more difficult reads that I can't focus on during school. I read those books though so far I haven't been reading too much. I need to get into the swing of summer still.

This weeks Question:

Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.

Well, today is quite an ugly day here in good old Canada, so I'm not going to take a picture. Still cold (sometimes, two days ago it was beautiful, now we're in the negatives again! grrr), so my favourite outside spot isn't out yet. But it's pretty easy to describe. Our backyard has lots of trees, so it feels pretty private. So, when the outside furniture is out (especially the lounge chair), I love love love reading on my deck with the sun, and the birds, and the trees, and you know, all that good stuff! That's my spot, what's yours?!

EDIT: I found a picture of my second favourite spot, so here it is! Out at the cottage, with the lake and the trees. Plus The Hunger Games... doesn't get better!

- Kristen

Mine is out in my backyard too. I have a picnic table that I like to sit on top of. It's under a big tree and is never too hot or too cold. Sadly, my neighbors have like six screaming children so I usually pull and old chair or blanket to the other side of my garage and sit in the empty lot there. It's warm, sunny, and has a great breeze. Another place, during the summer, is at my grandma's house. We read together outside sometimes. I guess the moral of this story is that I don't have just one place. I do love reading outside though because the extra space and fresh air makes it easier for me to imagine I'm in the book. I look forward to the nasty cold being gone for good so I can get some fresh air.

(Sometimes I'm that lazy person who just sits in their room with the window open all the way)

The flowers that I get to look at while reading ---------->

No pictures of my actual spot though!

It's that time again!

Q: Are you thankful for a fellow blogger? Tell us about him or her.

First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American followers!
To be quite honest, we're just getting back into the swing of things, and I haven't chatted with many other bloggers, but there are a few that religiously read!  I wish I had a better answer!
- Kristen

Happy Thanksgiving! I think I have antisocial personality disorder. Not really but I am a bit of an introvert. Does Kristen count? I like her...

Q: Books are turned into movies all the time! Turn it around. What movie would make a great book?

Hmm........ would any of you judge me if I told you that I've been sitting here thinking about this question for a good fifteen minutes? Oh my... I can't think of a single one that's not already a book! This is embarrassing. Maybe Kelsey can think of one....

What are yours?!
- Kristen

Oh sure! Put it on me! I guess I have to go with Pirates of the Caribbean but only because I'm watching it right now and I'm not sure it's a book. Most movies are books first, why such a hard question?!

My gosh, it feels so foreign to be doing this again! Weird! And of course, Kelsey is out of town, so I'm fielding this one by myself. But, if you're new, this is essentially "Follow Friday", and it is put on by this lovely blog. Check it out!

Q: Do you mind books with similar ideas to other books? Similar concepts, backgrounds, retellings or pulled-to-publish fanfic?

I feel almost bad answering this. It drives me nuts when this happens. I don't know why, but it just makes me want to pull my hair out. Though, that's a tad on the dramatic side. I'm a firm believer in following your own ideas. Create an unique world, your own world essentially. Don't monopolize on someones success! At least, in my opinion.

Q: When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

I have an absolute obsession when it comes to my books. I keep them, all of them. Even if I hated the book, I will keep it and put it in a box that I have under my bed. The books I can re-read over and over go on my shelves, and I have a box for the rest. If I have doubles, I'll give it away. But that's about the only time I ever would. So, I guess I'm a book hoarder myself! - Kristen.

I'm with Kristen on this one. I keep all my books. I still have all the books I read when I was really little. The only difference is that I have about a gillion shelves in my room, they don't go in boxes under my bed. I need my own library!
